About Me

Hello, I am Miles Low, a 21-year-old computer science enthusiast hailing from Venice Beach, California. I am currently diving into the exciting world of academia at the University of Michigan. For me, coding is more than just work. It's a creative outlet and a medium to transform abstract concepts into powerful solutions. Each line of code lays the foundation of the innovative structures I intend to build. In this relentless quest, I aim to leverage my skills to drive meaningful change in the world. Drawing lessons from my early experiences, I have developed an interest in social impact entrepreneurship. The blend of technology and the opportunity for large-scale societal impact excites me, making me more passionate about my work every day.I look forward to bringing about a positive difference in the world, one line of code at a time. If any of this resonates with you, or you can offer me insight to where my missing socks go, feel free to reach out.

Interests

Programming and Math
Programming 👾

From piecing together Lego blocks and dabbling in high school robotics to building applications that simplify business processes, my relationship with programming has come a long way. I was introduced to the power and potential of coding during my time with FRC Robotics in high school. This experience paved the way for a deep-seated interest in web and app development. My affection for coding languages, JavaScript, in particular, runs deep.

Travelling
Surfing 🏄‍♂️

Trapped indoors by the global pandemic and looking for an escape, I turned to the one thing Los Angeles had in abundance - the ocean. I got into surfing and found an unexpected passion. This newfound hobby serves as a peaceful retreat from my daily stresses and a much-needed connection to nature. Although Michigan is far from any surfing opportunities, I eagerly await the times I can return home to ride the Pacific waves.

Podcasts 🎙️

Podcasts have been an incredible source of learning and inspiration for me. I enjoy a wide range of them, from "Acquired", which gives me insights into tech acquisitions, to "Andrew Huberman" for understanding the science behind the human mind, "How I Built This" for entrepreneurial successes and struggles, and even Duolingo's Spanish podcast to improve my language skills. Each episode fuels my aspirations and arms me with the knowledge I need to walk the trail leading to my dreams.
